How to Create Social Posts in Claude
Most AI social workflows still involve a lot of tab-hopping. You generate an image in one app, download it, open a scheduler, upload it again, paste a caption, and repeat for every network. The creative part takes a minute. The shuffling takes the rest of the hour.
With two connectors, the whole job fits in one Claude chat. AiWings generates the image or video, and PostWing schedules it to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Pinterest, and Threads. You describe the post once, review what comes back, and confirm the schedule.
Disclosure: AiWings is built by the team behind PostWing. We use both together every week, which is why this guide exists.

What You Need
- Claude with custom connectors. Both tools connect as remote MCP servers through Claude's connector settings.
- An AiWings account. New accounts get 5 free credits with no card, enough to test a few draft images.
- A PostWing account. The 7-day free trial covers scheduling across all 8 platforms.
- Connected social accounts. Link them once in PostWing through each platform's official login.
Connect AiWings and PostWing to Claude
Each connector takes about a minute. You only do this once; after that, both tools are available in every new chat.
Add the AiWings connector
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it AiWings and set the server URL to
https://aiwings.io/api/mcp. - Click Connect, sign in to AiWings in the browser window, and approve access.
The AiWings guide for Claude has the same steps with screenshots.
Add the PostWing connector
- Open the same Add custom connector dialog.
- Name it PostWing and set the server URL to
https://postwing.io/api/mcp. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Secret blank. - Sign in to PostWing and approve access.
Our Claude scheduling guide covers workspaces, connected accounts, and troubleshooting.
Generate the Visual
Start with the image, not the caption. A caption written around a finished visual usually reads better than a visual forced to match a caption.
A useful first prompt names the subject, the setting, the format, and the destination:
Generate a square image of a ceramic coffee mug on a sunlit wooden desk, soft morning light, a notebook and plant in the background, warm natural colors. Leave clear space at the top for a headline. This is for an Instagram feed post.
AiWings returns the image in the chat. If it's close but not right, ask for a change in plain language, such as "make the light cooler" or "remove the plant". Claude edits the image you already have instead of starting over.
Pick an image model for the job
You don't have to choose a model; AiWings uses your saved default. But different AI image models are good at different things, and naming one in the prompt is often worth it. Credit costs below are at the time of writing.
| Model | Best for | Credits per image |
|---|---|---|
| Flux Fast | Quick drafts and testing ideas | 1 |
| GPT Image 2.5 Flare | Everyday posts and quick edits | 6 at medium quality |
| Imagen 4 Ultra | Photorealistic product and lifestyle shots | 8 |
| Seedream 5 Lite | Matching up to 14 reference images | 5 |
| Nano Banana Pro | Headlines and text inside the image | 19 at 1K or 2K |
A practical habit: draft with Flux Fast until the composition is right, then ask for a final version on a stronger model. That keeps experimentation cheap.
Keep the brand consistent
Generic AI images are easy to spot. To keep posts on-brand, give AiWings reference images: a product photo from your store, your logo, or a past post that performed well. Paste the direct image URLs in the chat and say what each one is for, such as "keep the mug exactly like this product photo".
Real products should stay real. Use generation for the scene around the product, not to invent features, packaging, or results it doesn't have.
Write Captions and Schedule the Post
Once the visual is approved, ask Claude for captions per platform. A LinkedIn post, a TikTok caption, and a Pinterest pin description do different jobs, and PostWing lets each account carry its own caption on the same post.
Then ask Claude to schedule it. PostWing will:
- Find your accounts. If you have more than one account on a platform, Claude asks which one.
- Convert the time. "Tomorrow at 9am" is turned into a real time in your PostWing timezone.
- Attach the media. Claude passes the generated image or video to PostWing. If a file can't be handed over directly, upload it on PostWing's upload page and paste the link back into the chat.
- Show a preview first. You see each caption, account, media file, and time, and nothing is scheduled until you say yes.
Scheduled posts appear in the same PostWing calendar as posts you create by hand, so you can still edit or cancel them before they publish.
A Full Example Prompt
You can do everything in steps, or in one message once you trust the setup. Here's a single prompt for a small coffee shop:
Use AiWings to create a photorealistic image of our oat latte on the counter by the window, morning light, with space at the top for text. Then write three captions announcing our new autumn menu: a short one for Instagram, a friendly one for Facebook, and one for Threads. Schedule all three with PostWing for Friday at 8am, and show me the preview before you schedule.
Claude will generate the image, show it, draft the captions, and stop at the preview. If the image needs changes, ask before confirming. The schedule only goes through after you approve.
Short-Form Video Posts
AiWings also generates video with ByteDance's Seedance models, which include native audio. That makes it practical to produce a short clip for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts and schedule it the same way.
| Model | Length | Example cost |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 | 4 to 15 seconds, 480p to 4K | 5 seconds at 720p: 115 credits |
| Seedance 2.5 | 4 to 30 seconds, 480p or 720p | 5 seconds at 720p: 145 credits |
Video is billed per second, so cost scales with length and resolution. Draft at 480p, then render the version you'll post at a higher resolution. Videos take a few minutes to render; Claude shows the player in the chat while it works.
When scheduling a video, ask for the platform details too: a YouTube title, TikTok visibility and comment settings, or a cover frame. PostWing passes those options to each network.
Review Before Anything Goes Live
The speed of this workflow is the reason to keep a short checklist. Before you confirm a schedule, check:
- The product. Logos, labels, and shapes match the real thing.
- Any text in the image. Spelling, prices, and dates are correct.
- The claims. Captions don't promise anything the image or the business can't back up.
- AI labeling. Some platforms ask you to label realistic AI content. PostWing includes an AI-generated flag for TikTok; check each network's current rules.
- Accounts and time. The right brand, the right profiles, and the intended local time.
Practical rule: Let Claude do the busywork, but keep the yes for yourself.
What It Costs
AiWings plans start at $9 a month for 1,000 credits, with Pro at $19 for 2,000 credits and Scale at $39 for 4,000 credits. Every plan includes all image and video models, MCP access, and the API.
For a sense of scale, 1,000 credits covers roughly 160 everyday images at GPT Image 2.5 Flare's medium quality, or a mix of images and a handful of short clips. PostWing is priced separately; see PostWing pricing for current plans.
Start With One Post This Week
Connect both tools, pick one upcoming post, and run it through the whole flow: generate, revise, caption, preview, schedule. One finished post tells you more about the workflow than a folder of test images.
Get started with AiWings for images and video and PostWing for Claude. Then ask Claude for your next post and approve it when it looks right.
